There is a bit of a buzz around reflexology treatments at the moment. Which was a pleasant coincidence as I was finishing my training.
So what is it? Reflexology is a massage treatment based on the reflex points in the body. There are reflex points in the hands, feet, back and ears. I focus of foot reflexology as well as a few points in the hands, especially when coaching clients on self treatment. That's the basics!
What does a reflexology treatment look like with me? Your treatment plan starts before you walk in my door (or when I walk in yours, since I do a lot of in home treatment) Before I even book your appointment I offer a free consultation and get a medical history. I want to make sure the treatment is a good fit for you and there is nothing contridicated (like a broken foot)
We then plan a time for treatment. I can come to you or offer you treatment in my home. I set a relaxing atmosphere and walk you through the process. I start with soaking and washing your feet. This helps relax the muscles. Then I wrap both your legs from the knee down. I proceed to manage along the senses lines in your lower leg and foot. Once I have the entry flowing well o proceed to work specific reflex points that will help you with your specific needs and situation. Then I switch to the other leg and foot. Nearing the end of treatment I mention some thing you can do yourself at home depending on your case it may be a reflex point to work, or some stretches or excersises.
I then leave you to sit up slowly. I answer any questions you have.
So what does reflexology help with. Well reflexology can help with digestive issues, headaches, body pains, side effect from medications, help medications work better with your body, reproductive system imbalances, anxiety, depression, athsma and so much more.
